The performance by harpist Simona Marchesi and cellist Bartolomeo Dandolo Marchesi is excellent. They have a good sense of the long and expressive phrases that Romberg requires, as well as his surprise flourishes of passagework. Their intonation is spot on, and their sense of ensemble makes these works a pleasure to listen to.
